1/3/2018 I watched this mainly for Frances but sure was a treat seeing all the characters doing their fair share. I was alternately crying and laughing the entire time. I really hope this gets nominated in the Academy.

Loved it. Fun, gritty, disturbing but charming, gorgeous cinematography and brilliant directing. Frances McDormand deserves the Oscar her performance

Not the perfect mother, not the perfect town, not the perfect brother, not the perfect father, not the perfect police. All of them, are in a unforgettable movie. I just love it!

This movie was so much better than I expected it to be from the previews etc. I don't think I lost interest for one moment! Well done!

So good. Nearly a perfectly written story.

Martin McDonagh calibrates with divine precision grotesque satire and grim circumstances to masterfully deliver an exceptional story about the crushed souls of a senselessly hideous crime bound by wretched wrath and blind vengeance, and their deserved redemption by most unexpected coincidences.

One of the best movies I have seen in quite a while. I get why McDormand has a oscar nomination. Together with the superb acting by Sam Rockwell you're in for a treath. You totaly get why both the personalities behave as they do. Just awesome!!

I have to admit it. I kinda barely knew Frances McDormand existence. I mean, yes I saw her around, I liked her... but nothing serious. Then few months ago I saw this miniseries "Olive Kitteridge", and that was it, I was in love. So when I read about this drama with dark comedy I knew I will have to go to the cinema to see it, as the role was perfect for her. And I am so happy I did. These brilliant film took my breath away for the full 2 hours. There are no Star Wars or Marvels able to do that to me. Inside this 2 hours you'll find so many themes and emotions to make your head spin. Around the main one, dealing with grief and loss, you'll find a wild spectrum including racism, hate, anger, gender violence, euthanasia among others. How difficult to deal with that using the right amount of drama? How difficult, especially, to deal with that using the right amount of humor? Very. Very difficult and this film does that in a sublime way. A strong contender for the academy awards, and an almost sure win for McDormand.
